Pequity Approvals User Guide
Welcome to Pequity Approvals! Approvals, similar to Pequity's legacy Offers tool, allows HR talent, management, and compensation team to streamline their compensation decisions.
This guide provides a step-by-step walkthrough to setting up and using Pequity Approvals with your team. Update your Pequity Chrome Extension for Greenhouse to ensure stronger security, streamlined workflows, and smarter data automation—making offer creation and approvals even easier.
⚙️ Let's get setup!
1. Uninstall/Reinstall Pequity Google Chrome Extension
To ensure you're using the latest and most secure version for your Pequity-Greenhouse integration, let's start by updating your Pequity Extension.
The new extension has been upgraded for higher security and easier data flow!
-
First Uninstall your current Pequity extension from your browser.
- Next Reinstall the new version of the extension here.
2. Access the Extension & Login
-
After installation, locate the Pequity extension icon in the bottom-right corner of your Greenhouse screen.
-
Log in to the extension using your credentials.
🚀 Let's Submit our first Approval!
3. Create an Offer
-
In Greenhouse, open the candidate's profile for whom you want to create an offer.
-
Launch the extension and begin the offer creation process.
-
Most fields will be pre-filled from existing data.
-
Any missing or mismatched fields will be flagged.
-
Manually complete missing fields such as:
-
Location
-
Level
-
-
Pay special attention to fields requiring one-to-one matches with data in your platform (e.g., job level codes).
-
Click Save as Draft to allow for future edits prior to approval submission.
4. Send for Approval
-
Once reviewed, send the draft offer for approval via the extension.
5. Syncing with Greenhouse
-
Any changes made after approval will automatically sync with Greenhouse.
-
If the sync was unsuccessful, a red icon in the extension will appear, and you can trigger a manual sync
6. Approve or Reject Offer
-
Approvers will be notified and can:
-
✅ Approve
-
❌ Reject (with notes explaining the reason)
-
7. Mark as Hired
-
Once approved, the offer creator can mark the candidate as hired within the extension.
-
⚠️ Note: This does not update the hired status in Greenhouse automatically.
-
You can also undo the hired status if needed.
Important Considerations:
-
Ensure Greenhouse data accurately matches your compensation platform to avoid errors with:
-
Range matching
-
Auto-filled fields
-
-
Some fields (e.g., job level) are now combined into a single selection dropdown.
-
Make sure to select the correct combined entry.
-
All required fields must be completed before you can save or submit an offer.
-
Any changes to:
-
Compensation tables
-
Range match criteria
-
-
…will trigger a re-approval requirement.
