Pequity Approvals FAQs & Use Cases

Real-World Use Cases

Offer Creation and Approval

  1. Recruiter fills out the candidate profile via the Pequity UI or Chrome Extension.

  2. Inputs compensation details and comments.

  3. Sends the offer for approval to designated stakeholders.

  4. Approvers can comment, reject, or approve. Rejections must include rationale (e.g., missing salary).

Any material changes (like salary edits) trigger reapproval from the beginning of the workflow.

Off-Cycle Compensation Adjustments

  • Approvals isn't limited to new hires—it supports raises and internal movements.

  • For off-cycle increases:

    • Select an existing employee.

    • The system pre-fills existing comp and job data.

    • Edit salary, apply new templates, and submit for approval.

Settings and Customization

  • Admins can:

    • Activate Greenhouse integration via API key and "on behalf of" ID.

    • Sync custom fields daily or on-demand.

    • Configure approval flow rules (e.g., require reapproval after edits).

Define comp fields including formulas (e.g., annual_salary * 2).

Data Export and Archiving

  • Offers can be archived (e.g., if a candidate declines).

  • Admins can hide archived offers from the front end.

Full data exports available by time range and data type.

✨ Tips and Best Practices

  • Use Custom Fields Wisely: Ensure recruiters input the most valuable data upfront by configuring required fields.

  • Stay Within Budget: View real-time compensation range validation while drafting offers—eliminates tool-switching for finance teams.

  • Create Location-Specific Comp Tables: Tailor perks like commuter benefits or bonuses by region.

  • Communicate Through Comments: Leave notes and questions in the approval thread for collaborative feedback.

Yes, the tool supports all internal comp changes, not just new hires.

Q: What if a recruiter wants to offer outside the range?
The system will validate and restrict values based on pre-set templates. Exceptions require justification and may trigger reapproval.

Q: Can we add more ATS integrations?
Currently, Greenhouse is supported due to its market dominance and developer accessibility. More integrations may come in the future.
