How to Sync Employee Data in a Compensation Cycle
When running a compensation cycle in Pequity, it's important to ensure your employee data stays up to date. If you've made changes to your People list—such as adding new hires, updating employee details, or removing terminated employees—you can easily sync these updates into your active comp cycle using the Sync feature.
📍 Where to Find the Sync Option

As an Admin, open your compensation cycle Employee Workbook.

On the left-hand side of the screen, click Sync.
This will open the sync settings, where you can choose what data to bring in or update.
🔄 Sync Options Explained
When you click Sync, you’ll see the following options:

Add missing employees
Adds any new employees from your People list who were not previously included in the cycle. -
Remove terminated employees
Removes employees who have been removed from your People list since the cycle started. -
Update existing employee data (Selected by default)
Updates the data for employees already included in the cycle based on the latest information from your People list.
You can select any combination of these options, or all three, to keep your cycle fully up to date.
⚠️ Important Notes

Exact matches are required
To sync successfully, data fields must match exactly between your comp cycle and People list. If you imported employee data manually or outside the standard import process, you may see duplicate columns that need to be reconciled. -
New columns may appear
The sync process may pull in new data columns from your People list that weren’t previously included in the cycle.
