How to Delete a Compensation Cycle

Deleting a compensation cycle permanently removes it from your list of active cycles. This action cannot be undone, so it should only be performed when you are absolutely certain the cycle is no longer needed. Note: Once deleted, a compensation cycle cannot be recovered. If you may need to reference the data later, consider archiving the cycle instead.

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1: Open Your Active Cycles List

  • Go to the page displaying your list of active compensation cycles.

  • Review the list to locate the cycle you wish to delete.

Step 2: Access the Delete Option

  • On the right-hand side of the selected cycle, click the three-dot icon (⋮) to open the available actions.

  • From the dropdown menu, select Delete.

Step 3: Confirm the Deletion

  • A confirmation prompt will appear to ensure you intend to proceed.

  • To confirm, type the exact word “delete” into the confirmation field.

  • Once entered correctly, the Delete button will become clickable.

Step 4: Complete the Deletion

  • Click Delete to permanently remove the compensation cycle.

  • The cycle will be deleted immediately and will no longer be recoverable.

Alternative Option: Archive the Cycle

If you prefer to retain the data for reference or audit purposes, you can choose to archive the cycle instead of deleting it. Archiving hides the cycle from your active list but keeps the data accessible when needed.
