How can I create a new role for a Comp Cycle?

Creating custom roles in Pequity allows you to control access and permissions for different users during your compensation cycle. Follow the steps below to create a new role and configure it according to your needs.

Step 1: Navigate to the Roles Settings

  1. Log in to your Pequity account as an Admin

  2. Locate the cycle you would like to create a new role for

  3. Click on Settings on the upper right hand corner of the screen

  4. Select the Roles tab on the left

On this page, you can view all available roles and manage the functionalities that can be enabled or disabled for each.

Step 2: Create New Role

  1. Click on the "+Add Role" button
  2. Type in the name for the new role (i.e HRBP)
  3. Click Save

Step 3: Configure the Layout and Functionalities for the Role

  1. Select a Layout – Choose an existing layout for your new role.
    1. Tip: If you need a custom layout, you can refer to this article for instructions on creating one.
  2. Set Functionalities – Toggle the functionalities you’d like this role to have by enabling or disabling them as needed.
