Navigating and Using Pequity Compensation Cycles User Guide
Pequity’s Compensation Cycle (Comp Cycle) tool streamlines your compensation planning process. Whether you are setting up, planning for employees, or finalizing approvals, this guide will help you navigate the tool with ease.
Step 1: Navigating to Your Active Compensation Cycle
- Email Notification: You’ll receive an email when your Wave and Planning Group are activated. Click the link in the email to access Pequity directly.
- Accessing Your Cycle:
Once logged in:
- Select the cycle marked with the green Active dot.
- Click your Name or Planning Group to start planning.
Note: If assigned as both a Planner and a Planning Partner, navigate to the group where you are designated as a “Planner” to approve employees. Learn more about Comp Cycle default roles below ⬇️
Step 2: Planning for Employees as a Planner or Planning Partner
- Editable Fields: Modify employee inputs (e.g., merit increases or bonuses) and reference company recommendations displayed below each field.
- Static Fields: Reference-only data (e.g., employee metadata) cannot be edited. If changes are needed, request updates from a Company Admin.
- Collaborate: Add comments to discuss inputs with team members or flag concerns for Admins. @mentioned users will receive an email notification that they have a comment to review.
- Budgets: View roll up budgets for inputs vs recommendations at the top of your workbook. When a budget is red your input has exceeded the recommendations or set budget for your planning group.
Step 3: Submitting for Approval as a Planner
- After reviewing, click Approve All in the top-right corner to finalize the group.
- Post-approval, no additional edits can be made. Reach out to a Company Admin to reactivate if changes are required.
🚨 Important: Only Planners can approve; Planning Partners must request a Planner to complete this step.
Understanding Comp Cycle Roles
- Company Admin: Responsible for setting up and managing cycle configurations.
- Planner: Can modify employee inputs, leave comments, and approve changes.
- Planning Partner: Can modify inputs and add comments but cannot approve changes unless authorized by an Admin.
